I JUST AQUIRED A 2006 YAMAHA VINO CLASSIC SCOOTER, I WORK FOR A TOW COMPANY AND THIS WAS ABANDONED. WE FILED AND RECEIVED THE TITLE. I HAD A KEY MADE. THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS WHEN I TURN THE KEY ON, THE COOLENT/WATER LIGHT COMES ON, THEN GOES OUT. THE BIKE DOES NOT TURN OVER TO START. ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS SHAT I CAN TRY?

The reason the coolant light turns off is because that is just a safety check for the light. It is supposed to happen every time you turn the key on. Are you trying to start the Vino with the kick-start or the electric start? If you are trying the electric start, there are a few things you should try. The first is turning the run switch to RUN, hold one of the brake levers in, have the key to ON and then try the electric start button. This is the proper procedure for starting the scooter and NOTHING will happen unless you do all those things. If you wan to kick-start the Vino, set the key to ON and the run switch to RUN, and then kick-start away. As always I hope this helps and let me know if there is anything else I can do.
